I bought a beautiful pashmina with a block print at Akee International in December. I wanted to wait before writing a review to see if the pashmina would start pilling, which often happens with other items, but I'm happy to report that it hasn’t. The quality is truly fantastic.

We’ve had the pleasure of visiting and purchasing from the owner of this shop on two different occasions. He comes from a family of Kashmiri weavers and is so knowledgeable about beautiful pashmina shawls and the intricacies of hand weaving. If you are lucky enough to go into his inner room, you will come out a changed person. He has both heirloom quality shawls as well as general shawls in lower price ranges. His showroom is beautiful and filled with gorgeous textiles. Rugs, bedspreads, coats, shawls just to name a few. It’s beautifully displayed and a feast for the eyes. I love this place and the owner is seriously just a prince of a guy. Just go. You won’t be sorry.
