Every business has a starting point. Ours was a simple conviction: that genuine Pashmina, made slowly by skilled hands, deserves to be sold honestly. Akib Mir grew Akee International around that idea, building long-term relationships with weavers, embroiderers and fibre suppliers, and welcoming visitors to Jaipur who wanted to understand what they were buying rather than simply buy it.

Our journey begins in the high Himalayas, where authentic Pashmina fibre comes from goats living at elevations above 4,000 metres. The extreme cold and dry climate of the region produces some of the finest, softest and lightest natural fibres in the world.
